Monday on Lake Effect: Gerrymandering & Gill v Whitford, Kathy Sullivan, Beats Me, On That Note

Oct 2, 2017

Monday on Lake Effect:

Writer and gerrymandering expert David Daley sheds some light on why this week's Supreme Court arguments are such a big deal.  The court will decide the fate of Gill v Whitford - the Wisconsin redistricting case - during its current session.  Then, we meet astronaut Kathy Sullivan, the first American woman to walk in space.  We learn about "Beats Me," the new initiative to solicit listener questions for our beat reporters, and cellist Robert Cohen explains why he's switched from paper sheet music to an iPad for performances.

  • Dr. Kathy Sullivan, former astronaut and NOAA Administrator
